Terms & Conditions
By accepting the terms & conditions, you agrees/consents to the following: 1. To receive the service of broadband Internet provided by S.I.R. Tech Jamaica Ltd. 2. To only use the broadband Internet service supplied for personal use AND will not replicate and/or offer any other personnel outside of this contract. 3. To pay the standard, non-refundable, registration and installation fee for Internet service. 4. That upon installation, the Technician will provide cabling, outdoor access point and power supply. If any other material(s) needed such as a stanchion, pipe, etc., it is my responsibility as the customer to provide same to complete the installation. 5. To pay on demand, the subscription fee which is due on the 28th of each month. 6. To pay a security deposit of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) on equipment, that is, the router and antenna received upon installation. The deposit will be refunded providing that both the antenna and the router are retrieved within fourteen (14) days of disconnection. NB: If there is an outstanding balance on the on the account upon retrieval within the stipulated timeframe, the deposit will be applied. 7. That ALL equipment received upon installation remains the property of S.I.R Tech Jamaica Ltd., hence, in the event of service/contract termination; the equipment will be scheduled for collection in the shortest possible time by authorized personnel(s) of the company. 8. To take care and protect the equipment received. This is solely my responsibility as the customer; hence, physical damage to equipment is the liability of the customer. 9. That if there is an issue with the service, that is, the service is not performing as prescribed, I will contact the Service Provider immediately to diagnose and/or repair the service. Subsequently, with reasonable consideration, lack of service exceeding three (3) consecutive days, after reporting service issue, an adjusted bill will be taken into consideration by the Service Provider upon request. 10. The Service Provider may experience problems due to natural disasters and/or unforeseen events, subsequently; S.I.R Tech Jamaica Ltd. will use its best endeavors to resolve/diagnose the problem within an adequate timeframe. 11. Physical damages to the equipment must be reported immediately, after diagnosis the company will advise customer of the cost(s) for damages incurred and repair/replacement costs. 12. Late payment five (5) days after the due date will attract a fee of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00). Non-payment for two (2) consecutive months automatically permits the removal of all S.I.R Tech’s equipment by an authorized personnel member; arrangements will be made to retrieve the equipment. 13. The Service Provider has the right to terminate the service upon giving thirty (30) days’ clear notice, if there is a breach of the contract, which includes but not limited to the service being used for illegal activities. The customer is therefore expected to pay all outstanding charges/fees. - 2 - 14. Any special requests should be made to the S.I.R. Tech Jamaica Ltd. team where the proper protocol will be administered. Tech Jamaica Ltd has the right to terminate the service as a result of nonpayment of bill. 16. As per condition seven (7), the provider has the right to authorize the collection of the equipment at any time deemed necessary with plausible reasoning. 17. Once a customer’s account becomes inactive for non-payment of bills, there will be a monthly rental fee of fifty percent (50%) of the subscription until the bill is cleared or the equipment retrieved. 18. Prior to installation and/or a visitation the customer is entitled to a full refund, however, there is a twenty-five percent (25%) service fee once there is a technician’s visitation. Subsequently, if a refund is processed under any circumstances after a visitation, the service fee will be deducted. Refunds are processed within four to five (4 – 5) business days. NB: Only cheques are disbursed for refunds and/or reimbursements. 19. Installations are usually scheduled and completed five to ten (5 – 10) business days after payment is made and all documents are submitted. However, installations can be scheduled and completed before or after the standard wait time dependent on the circumstances surrounding the installation. 20. After completion of the installation, the Technician(s) will report the installation as completed; after, a request for activation will be submitted on the customer’s behalf. Activations are usually done within twenty-four to forty-eight (24-48) hours of the said request. 21. The Network Administrator continuously does upgrades to improve the service that we provide; hence, unplugging the device will hinder such upgrades which may result in service interruptions. It is recommended that the customer keeps the equipment plugged in at all times after the installation is completed unless instructed to do otherwise by an authorized personnel member at S. I. R Tech Jamaica Limited. However, fear of damages by natural causes such as heavy rains, lightening, storms, etc., it is understandable if the device is unplugged. 22. After disconnection, a customer is expected to clear ALL outstanding balances as at the last bill’s due date for the account to be reinstated. Reconnections are usually done within twenty-four to forty-eight (24-48) hours of the account being cleared. 23. After disconnection the Service Provider have the right to retrieve the equipment from the premises with or without someone being present. It is understood that upon disconnection the equipment is liable for collection after fourteen (14) days of nonpayment of outstanding balance(s). NB: The terms and conditions are subjected to change at any point by the Service Provider. I certify that the information submitted on this document is accurate and true to the best of my knowledge. I understand that SIR-Tech Jamaica Limited is not liable for inaccurate information being added on my account, once the information matches that which was submitted by me on this document. I hereby agree to the terms and conditions stated above and accept full responsibility for service(s) provided.
